ACDIS update: Download these new detective-themed CDI Week resources!

CDI Strategies - Volume 19, Issue 36

It is of the highest importance in the art of detection to be able to recognize out of a number of facts which are incidental, and which are vital.”—Sherlock Holmes

During CDI Week, ACDIS seeks to celebrate and recognize the efforts of CDI professionals, like yourself. We do this by sharing the latest industry news, cutting-edge resources and education, and, most importantly, fun pursuits for your CDI teams.

As such, our 2025 Furthering Education Committee has been working hard to brainstorm activities for you and your team to partake in during CDI Week. Last month, ACDIS shared a CDI Week activity list that your department could use to celebrate.

This month, they have created even more activities for you to partake in, so join the investigation and try out some of these activities with your department:

  • CDI Detective Award Templates: CDI Week is a time for celebration and recognition--and one great way to recognize your fellow CDI team members is by calling out their strengths! These CDI Detective Award templates offer you two separate styles and award names you can pick from to give out to your team during CDI Week celebrations, and were submitted by ACDIS Furthering Education Committee members.
  • CDI Mad Lib: Everyone likes fun handouts, so print out or digitally send detective-themed Mad Libs and invite your department to share the funny stories they create!
  • Riddle-A-Day Handout: Working in the CDI profession can often feel like being a detective finding clues and solving riddles. Now, with this fun, detective-themed handout, you and your team can solve CDI riddles quite literally! Share a riddle each day with your team during CDI Week or all at once during a meeting and see who can solve it first!

Keep an eye out on our CDI Week page for more resources leading up to CDI Week! And if you have your own activity ideas or resources you’d like to share, feel free to send them to us at info@acdis.org.
