ACDIS update: Take advantage of networking opportunities at the 2026 ACDIS conference!

CDI Strategies - Volume 20, Issue 6

Each year, the ACDIS conference brings together CDI professionals from across the country, not just for education, but also for networking. Make the most of these networking opportunities by preparing for them ahead of time. As you think about who you might want to connect with at the conference, consider the following questions:

  • Am I looking for someone with experience in a specific specialty or with a specific type of review?
  • Is there a particular question I want feedback on or a problem I’m trying to solve?
  • Am I interested in meeting other CDI specialists from my geographic area?

Determining the answers to these questions will allow you to head into networking opportunities with intention and purpose, helping relieve some of the nerves we all experience when meeting new people.

The 2026 ACDIS conference is pleased to offer the following networking opportunities to help you make new connections:

  • Monday, April 20 at 4:30 p.m.: First-Time Attendees Meet Up – Head to the Tech Demo Area in the Exhibit Hall (near the ACDIS booth) to meet others who are new to the ACDIS conference, chat with the ACDIS team, and get tips and tricks for navigating your first ACDIS event
  • Tuesday, April 21 at 4:45 p.m.: Bonus Sessions – Join one of our two bonus sessions to learn more about a specific ACDIS-related opportunity and connect with others who also may be interested. The two sessions are:
    • Discover ACDIS Membership and Meet Your CDI Family
    • Get Credentialed: An Introduction to the CCDS and CCDS-O
  • Wednesday, April 22: Local Networking Day – Wear gear from your state to help you find others from your geographical area. Plus, look for a table dedicated to your state’s local chapter or networking group at lunch!

Plus, take opportunities during breakfast, lunch, breaks, and our opening night reception to strike up a conversation with the person sitting next to you or visit our exhibitors at their booths.

Each person’s conference experience is what they make it—and with kindness and smiles, we can all make it great!
