Note from the Editorial Manager: Deadline extended—one more chance to apply to speak at our ACDIS 2027 events!

If the August 3 deadline to submit your proposal to speak at a 2027 ACDIS event snuck up on you, I’ve got good news: We’re extending the deadline for one week, until end of the day on Sunday, August 9.

That means you still have a week and a half to put together your ideas for any of the following events:

• ACDIS Symposium: Outpatient CDI (May 15–16, 2027)
• ACDIS Physician Advisor Forum (May 15–16, 2027)
• 2027 ACDIS Conference (May 16–19, 2027)

All three events will be held at Caesar’s Forum in Las Vegas. Sessions should be 60 minutes in length: 50 minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of audience Q&A. Up to two speakers per selected session will receive complimentary admission to the event at which they are speaking.

Speaking at an ACDIS in-person event is a great way to give back to the CDI community by sharing your experience and expertise. If you know you’d like to contribute but you’re not sure where to begin, check out our list of frequently requested topics.

Applying is easy, though note that if you have not applied to or attended an ACDIS conference in the past two years, you will need to create an account. To apply, you’ll need to have ready:

• Session title and description
• 3–5 learning objectives
• A brief professional biography
• Any co-speaker information
• If available, an outline or draft of the slide deck

As a reminder, all submissions should be free of commercial bias; sessions should not reference specific vendors or focus on how specific software was used to achieve a goal. The content should be purely educational with tangible takeaways attendees can apply at their own organizations.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly. Due to the complex nature of the review process, the committee will be unable to accept any applications beyond the August 9 extension. We can’t wait to see what you’ll submit!
