Note from the Associate Editorial Director: Join us for summer education at ACDIS Encore

CDI Strategies - Volume 20, Issue 29

by Linnea Archibald

We often say that in the CDI world, you never stop learning. As much as I would personally enjoy a grown-up summer vacation some days, the opportunity to continue learning and growing is one of the best parts of this industry, regardless of the season.

While our main ACDIS conference takes place in the springtime, for the last few years, we’ve offered a summer virtual event for those who either weren’t able to join us at the conference or those who wish they could relive the educational fun. ACDIS Encore: Clinical & Coding Online features recordings of all the sessions from the ever-popular Clinical & Coding track at the ACDIS conference. This year, the event will take place August 4–6.

(Note: If you attended the 2026 ACDIS conference in person, you’ll also get $100 off your Encore ticket!)

Over the three-day event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about:

  • Improving cancer documentation
  • Writing effective queries, from a physician’s perspective
  • Heart failure documentation and coding
  • Cerebral edema (side note: did you catch our latest ACDIS Podcast episode on the topic?)
  • ICU coding
  • Spinal surgery documentation
  • CDI for clinical and quality alignment
  • DRG reconciliation
  • Stroke coding
  • HIV documentation and coding

Plus, not only will you come away from the event with new knowledge, but you’ll also be able to claim 8.5 ACDIS, NAHRI, AHIMA, and ANCC CEUs, helping you reach your recertification requirements across a variety of credentials.

I hope you’ll consider joining us for our summer fun at ACDIS Encore next month! Click here to register today and if you have any questions about the event, please feel free to email us at info@acdis.org.
